FAIRYTALES - The Princess & the Pea

Image with Putney Common background.

Sometimes life is just too much. Sometimes you are bowled over...by a giant pea. The story is intended to be a mockery of those occupying a comfortable position in society and their over-sensitivity to small details (a pea), meant to ridicule those who are incapable of understanding true suffering. In our pretty princess's case, her pea is somewhat larger than the story goes and it does literally knock her over. So perhaps in her, there lives a true princess after all.
